McFarlane announce they are working on an Half-Hour TV Show for Fox...can a range of action figures based on the show be that far behind?...


Spawn creator Todd McFarlane has partnered with AngryFilms to develop a half-hour anthology series for the Fox network, called Twisted Tales. Fox TV Studios' alternative division is producing in association with Todd McFarlane Entertainment and Angry Films (The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen).

McFarlane, TME president Terry Fitzgerald, Rick Benattar, Susan Montford and Don Murphy will executive produce.

Episodes will focus on tales of horror, fantasy or sci-fi, and McFarlane himself will serve as host of the show, introducing each episode from a basement environment.

"There is nothing on television that is scary or creepy enough for me, week in and week out," McFarlane said. "It is my hope to be able to deliver a series that will keep the audience consistently off-balance and frightened."

Focusing on just one story per episode will allow for more chills-per-minute.

"Other series went to the easier fit idea of multiple stories in an hour, and inevitably one of the stories was bad," Murphy said. "Here it's one story, one episode, bang -- we gotcha."

really can't picture Todd in the role as a Horror Host, though............

shows sounds cool but come on, its on fox. how cool could a horror show on cable tv be. all of them are so corny and this will probably be the same way. i really hope its not though
